Practical Information
Saison printemps - été
Access for people with reduced mobility
To get to the cable car and the train, you have to climb several flights of stairs. We do not yet have an access ramp for people with reduced mobility.
Access is possible by carrying the person, but both the cable car and the Train are adapted.
Access to Lac d’Artouste is impossible, as it is a mountain hiking trail. On presentation of a disability card (over 80% or stipulating “need for companion”), the companion is entitled to a free ticket.
To obtain a free pass, send an e-mail to contact@artouste.fr adding your disability card and the dates you wish to book.Recommendations
Cable cars are not recommended for children under 1 year of age, as they are not pressurized.
The rapid change in altitude can be dangerous for babies’ eardrums. You’re in the mountains at an altitude of over 2,000m, and the weather changes rapidly, with stronger sunshine and cooler temperatures.
Don’t forget to bring mountain boots, warm clothing, rain gear and sunscreen.Pets
Dogs on a leash are welcome on both the gondola and the train.
Dogs are also allowed on the Lac d’Artouste, but please be aware that dogs are not allowed in the Parc National des Pyrénées (which is close to the Lac d’Artouste).
Train tickets
Tickets purchased online must be printed or downloaded from home.
As the internet network in the village of Fabrèges is very weak, you won’t be able to download them once you’re there.Think about it before you come and take the Little Train!
A screenshot may also suffice (provided you can see the QR code on each ticket).Payment
We accept credit cards, cash and cheques (with proof of identity).
There is no ticket machine in Artouste, so please collect your tickets in Laruns before you go up.
ANCV payment (vacation vouchers) is only accepted at ticket offices or certain retailers (Laruns tourist office).
However, we cannot guarantee train availability on the timetable of your choice.
